"Numinous Inscriptions" is a collection of six videos that dwell inside of six diverse places, within which six different stories unfold.
Each story is fixed within its location, revealing itself through the lens of its own universe.

"Long Road (Points A, B, and C)" (2006) 3:56 Michele Monseau "Long Road" negotiates the landscape of three lone beings walking on the same path at different times of the day. Sounds corresponding to each person’s internal dial tone, or hum of energy, are layered with the ambient sounds of the landscape. |
"El Otro Lado" (2006) 12:56 Anne Wallace This experimental documentary presents stories from the US-Mexican border from the Rio Grande in the East to the western deserts of Arizona and California. As the eye follows the hypnotic rhythm of a seemingly endless steel wall, voices reveal the controversial border fence as a projection of our own fears and desires. |

"Pandora's Bike" (2006) 12:30 Potter-Belmar Labs A woman needs her bicycle and to find it, she must transcend this earthly plane, it's hardship and confusion, and gain a greater understanding of the cosmos, and the true meaning of "bicycle." |
"Dream" (2002) 5:00 Anne Wallace Originally created as a large projection component to an installation, "Dream" presents us with an unusual underwater landscape in which a diver swims through what appears to be a vacant sunken household. |

"Parables" (2006) 9:00 Trey Moore Imagination and possibility meander through Ayutthaya, primeval forests, Kuala Lumpur, and the Phonsavon highlands, employing the narrative and the visual journey of imagery and geography, mapping interior and exterior landscapes. The film blends free jazz by San Antonio’s Psychics with gritty abstractions and lucid stills. |
"Puff (Snapshots)" (2005) 3:48 Michele Monseau This series of beautifully considered moments, infused with color and a subtle touch of humor, take the viewer to a special quiet corner of paradise where the sunlight and breeze are the best company a person could enjoy. |

Leslie Raymond is a video artist living in San Antonio Texas who works in single-channel video and expanded cinema forms such as performance and installation with the moving image. She is a professor at the University of Texas at San Antonio where she has founded the New Media Studio Program within the Department of Art & Art History. |
