What's medicine without the medicine show? Film, the wonder drug, is synonomous with it's own promotional efforts while pharmaceuticals are some of the most heavily marketed products on the planet. With this in mind I propose a poster campaign hailing the virtues of the cinema. I will produce editions of 50 of three colorful carnival style posters, each with their own distinct slogan. These posters will be put up all over Ann Arbor and will form a distinct, oblique element of the festivals atmosphere. On Street poles, in store windows, on the wall of the local bar, theses attractive 14" x 22" posters will advertise the idea of cinema and the healing power of the medium which resides at the heart of this years theme. |
